SYRACUSE, NEW YORK - Short Enterprises today announced that Janessa Price has joined its team as Interim Communications Director. Price will be working with founder W. Michael Short to identify, plan, and execute new communications, marketing, and promotional campaign strategies and assist with the organization’s social media activities.

“I’m looking forward to working with Janessa,” said Short. “She has already proven to be a valuable asset and I think we can accomplish a great deal together.”

Price is a Syracuse native and graduated from Nottingham High School in 2008. She recently returned to the area, searching for opportunities and organizations where she could both showcase her talents and have a positive impact.

“When I first spoke with Michael about the position and Short Enterprises, I knew that it would be a good fit for me,” said Price. “I’ve always had a strong desire to work for businesses with a social mission. For the company to be so young and to have accomplished so much in the community is truly amazing.”

Price joins Short Enterprises from the International Crisis Group, were she served as a member of the organization’s Washington, D.C. media team. Prior to that, Price served as a Communications and Marketing intern with the International School of Kenya in Nairobi. Price received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
